When arriving from the west via the A1 (from Rome or Florence) …

take the spur from the A1 ("Raccordo Perugia - A1") toward Perugia

exit at Madonna Alta and drive south toward Pila.  You will pass through three large traffic circles -- always follow direction Pila.  When you exit the third circle, you will be on the via Settivalle.  Follow it until instruction A9

after Pila (2nd traffic light) continue straight for 4,7 km (2.9 miles)

turn right toward San Biagio della Valle

enter the village and continue to the stop sign on via Giacomo Matteotti after about 1,2 km (0,8 mile)

turn left at the stop sign in the centre of the village and follow the main road (via IV Novembre) around the church

continue through the village in the direction of Castillione della Valle

angle right just after you leave the village corporation limits onto a gravel road 600 m (0.4 mi) from the stop sign

follow the road when it makes a sharp turn to the right

turn left at the Tee (450 m = 0.3 mi from the turn onto the gravel road)

take the third right from the Tee (about 150 m = 500 feet, including the private entrance) into a farmyard and follow when it angles left through the farmyard

after about 450 meters (500 yards) from the turn you will see the gate and the house at the end of the road, and
